Mindy Kaling is now a mom of three!
The "Never Have I Ever" creator revealed on Instagram Monday that "in late February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne."
"She's the best birthday present I could've ever imagined. When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life," Kaling wrote alongside photos of her other two children — daughter Katherine, 6, and son Spencer, 3, — with the newborn, a bump photo from her pregnancy and her eldest joining her in the delivery room.
Kaling, who celebrates her 45th birthday Monday, added: "I'm so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!"

Kaling recieved several well-wishes from her celebrity pals.
"Beautifully said 💗💗💗," Reese Witherspoon said.
"Never Have I Ever" star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan commented, "All my love to lil Anne."
"Congratulations!! ❤️❤️❤️" both John Legend and Julianne Moore wrote.
Her former "Mindy Project" co-star Anders Holm added: "😮😮😮 Whoa!! Congrats!!!"
Mindy Kaling's previous pregnancies were also private
Kaling's surprise reveal comes a little less than two months since she attended the 2024 Met Gala in flowing Gauruv Gupta gown that curved to her figure.
Despite the high-profile appearance, the actress, writer and producer told USA TODAY in April that she thrives in moments of quiet.
"I like silence more than I used to as a kid, or even as someone in my 20s," Kaling shared for USA TODAY's The Essentials. "It used to make me nervous, and now I look forward to it."
At work she collaborates with eight people in her writers' room and 150 on set, she added. And at home she gets to enjoy her kids whom she described as "wonderful, loud creatures."
Kaling has kept all of her pregnancies relatively private. Four months before her daughter Katherine was born, she revealed she was pregnant during an appearance on "Today." In October 2020, she announced on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" that she had given birth to Spencer the previous month.

'The Office' fans speculate B.J. Novak is the biological father of Mindy Kaling's kids
The multihyphenate has also dodged speculation about the biological father of her children, including rumors that her former "The Office" co-star B.J. Novak is the father of her oldest two children.
Kaling told Marie Clare in August 2022 that the speculation hasn't "affected my happiness at all, it hasn't affected my kids or B.J."
"(Novak is) the godparent to both of my kids – and they have such a great relationship," Kaling added. "If that's what is going to be titillating to people, I'll take it."
Kaling and Novak formed a close-knit friendship since the two wrote and starred in NBC's Emmy-winning comedy "The Office," where the pair played the toxic off-again, on-again couple Kelly Kapoor and Ryan Howard.
